EECC Staff Spotlight

Meet the newest member of the Edgewood Early Childhood Center Preschool Team. Mrs. Halle Brown has been a great addition to the PS team at EECC. Halle worked 2 years previously in the Columbus area before moving to Butler County. Halle brings energy, enthusiasm, and great ideas for the preschool students in her classroom. She works well with her team and we are excited to have her at EECC!

EPS Special Events

EPS honored our local First Responders with a special assembly. Members of Trenton PD, Trenton and Seven Mile Fire Department and EMS came to participate. K-9 Officer Root and K-9 Max showed how obedience helps the two of them work together to keep our community safe.

EPS celebrated a successful start to the year with a PBIS Kick Off. Throughout the week EPS students brought quarters to buy tickets for the opportunity to pie a staff member in the face. There were also "Minute to Win it'' contests between students and teachers. The monies from this event will be used for future PBIS System incentives.

EIS Classroom Spotlight

Students in Mrs. Butts' classroom at EIS are using the district's new Amplify Reading program for practice, intervention, and acceleration. Mrs. Butts stated: "This has been beneficial for leveling our students, closing gaps, and extending their learning."

EMS Provides Creative Learning Opportunities

The EMS staff has been hard at work in the first month of school. Mrs. Bowling's 7th Grade Math started off with some beginning of the year team-building activities. Mrs. Nichols invited Ms. Meninger from MidPointe Library in Trenton to speak with her students about their monthly genre novel project. Finally, Mrs. Blair's class created an expressionist bouquet of flowers, each student working on one, and put them all together to create the wonderful collaborative piece that is showcased in the main hall. These are just a few of the awesome things happening at Edgewood Middle School!
