The Men's team followed up their 2019 team placing (16th) with a 22nd place finish in the 2021 meet. Tyler Morris repeated as NCAA Division III All-American with a 7th place finish, 31 seconds off the winning mark. In 2019, he finished 35th to earn the honor (top-40 earn All-American).

Three women qualified as individual competitors for the event in Louisville, Ky. While individual competitors cannot compete for team standings, all three runners return to Colby next year and project to lead a strong, rising group.

Women's Basketball Collects 3-0 Week, Wins Tip-Off Classic
After earning their third win of the season on Tuesday at Husson (68-56), Colby played their first home matches this weekend, hosting the Colby Tip-Off Classic. After easily handling Colby-Sawyer 69-44 in the opener, the Mules topped UMass Boston 67-57 to win the tournament.
Sophomore Caroline Smith currently leads Colby in points on the season with 58, is tops in assists with 15, and ranks second in rebounds.
Senior Keagan Dunbar joined Smith on the All-Tournament team, and senior Chiamaka Ubani earned tournament MVP for providing a spark off the bench in the championship game against the Beacons. Ubani led the Mules with 12 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. She banked her only 3-point attempt in as the buzzer sounded to end the first quarter, spotting Colby a 19-18 lead.
Colby starts the year 5-0 for the first time since 2014-15 when the Mules opened with seven straight wins.
With Visions of 2019-20, Mules Sweep Williams to Start the Year
Reminiscent of their last full NESCAC season, the Mules faced Williams to open 2021-22, and came away with a sweep. In Friday night's contest, senior goaltender Nina Prunster turned away all 40 shots on goal for her first shutout of the year. Senior Lexi Cafiero scored two goals to secure the 3-0 win.
In Saturday's rematch, the Mules jumped out early, spotting head coach Holley Tyng a 4-0 lead by the end of the second period. Cafiero scored her third of the weekend, and Jillian Mazzocca, Elizabeth Brashich, and Sadie Kuhn tallied for Colby. Paige Larose would add a goal in the third period to help the Mules finish on top 5-2.
Colby is currently 2-0, tied for first in the NESCAC.
Men's Basketball Comes Back Against Thomas, Tops JWU for 2-0 Week
Falling behind early Tuesday at Thomas College and facing a 4-point halftime deficit, Colby stormed back in the second half to outscore the Terriers 46-24 in the final 20 minutes en route to a 81-63 victory.
The Mules carried their momentum to Johnson & Wales University on Saturday, jumping out to a 44-29 first half lead and coasting to a 82-72 final.
Junior Alec McGovern (below) scored 16 points in each contest for Colby. Behind 14 points against Thomas and 20 points against JWU, junior Noah Tyson leads the Mules in points with 63 in four games.
Men's Ice Hockey Plays Williams Tough, Falls 1-0
After defending the crease through the first 29 minutes of play and thwarting the Ephs' power play opportunities, Williams finally snuck the puck past junior goaltender Andy Beran halfway through the second period. Intent on leveling the score, the Mules aggressively pummeled the Williams goaltender with 33 shots on goal in the second and third periods combined. Unwilling to yield, the Ephs captured the 1-0 victory despite 43 shots on goal from Colby.
Colby begins the year 0-1, tied for 7th in the NESCAC.
Women's Swimming & Diving 2-1 After First Weekend
Facing NESCAC opponents for the first time in nearly two years, Colby took on Amherst Saturday to open the season. While the Mammoths were able to come away with the victory, the Mules bounced back Sunday to take head-to-head wins against Trinity and Hamilton.
Junior Ann Tolan was the only event winner Saturday, but Sunday the Mules were able to take home the top step in seven events. Senior Lacey Wright (1000-yd Free, 500-yd Free) and first-year Gabriella Landau (50-yd Backstroke, 50-yd Butterfly) each won two events Sunday for Colby.
Men's Swimming & Diving Tops Trinity and Hamilton, Falls to Amherst
After Falling Saturday to the Amherst Mammoths in the first NESCAC competition in 21 months, Colby bounced back Sunday to dominate Hamilton and Trinity.
Sam Cahaly won the 3-meter and 1-meter Dive events against Amherst as Colby collected the gold medal in four events. Sunday, the Mules expanded to six event winners, including sweeping the podium in the 100-yd Free (1. Carson Rehkopf, 2. John Connors, 3. Niels Wu).
Sophomore Anthony Minickiello won three events on the weekend (1000-yd Free both Saturday and Sunday, and 500-yd Free Sunday).
