Auburn High School Automotive Students Learning Real Skills for Real Life

We Are Students...

... who are currently taking Auburn High School's Automotive Technology and Small Gas Engine classes. We are learning from our instructor, Kurt Edwards, on how to provide a multitude of services to better prepare ourselves for careers in a similar field.

Our Automotive Technology students are constantly learning about the automotive industry with focuses on the Maintenance Light Repair standards which include, engine repair, engine performance, automatic transmission and trans axle servicing, manual transmission, suspension and steering, brake systems, vehicle electric and electronic systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

Our Small Gas Engine students have a focus on learning the ins and outs of common engines and their components, the safety procedures that are necessary for a shop atmosphere and the vocabulary that is vital to working with tools and machinery.

We are a fully functioning shop...

Our instructor makes sure the Auto Tech students providing the services we offer are knowledgeable and capable of handling the task they have been given, and supervises problems they may face throughout the time your vehicle is in our care.

Our fearless leader...

He's the guy on the right. We think he's pretty cool.
My rules for success... Show up. Do the work. Be positive and have fun. -Kurt Edwards
Kurt has over 30 years of experience in the industry. He is an ASE Certified Master Technician and has had our program ASE Educational Foundation Certified and MLR Certified. About 5 years ago Kurt decided to try his hand at teaching and has provided the students he mentors with some truly incredible opportunities and access to knowledge that they can really use in their lives outside of high school. We think he's pretty great and are sure you will too!
