Disney
The Walt Disney Company is one of the biggest media conglomerates of the world. The company was founded in 16 october 1923 in Los Angeles, Californië. The founders were Walt Disney and his brother Roy Oliver Disney, they born in Chicago. Walt had three brothers and one little sister. In the first years the company name was “The Disney Brothers Studio”. After some time the name was changed into Walt Disney Productions and at 6 February 1986 they changed the name again into “The Walt Disney Company” of which they thought it would be a more neutral name.
cartoons
The 2 brothers couldn’t draw very well but with some help of some good animators they created their own short cartoon. In 1928 they produced their first cartoon called “Steamboat Willy” in which Mickey and Minnie Mouse were seen en could be heard by an animation voice for the first time. In 1932 Disney came with the first full-colour cartoon “Flowers and Trees” and they also introduced others characters like Donald Duck. Five years later they produced their first long animation film: “Little Snow White with the seven dwarfs”. That became a big success and they even won an oscar for that movie.
Walt
In 1966 Walt Disney was told that he was very ill and that he had an advanced form of lung cancer. His had to miss his left long but he went on with his work. He died at 15 december 1966, he became 65 years old and had lived a very good life because he make a lot of kids and adults very happy with all the had done. After he died his brother went on with the recording of Tarzan and other big projects like the many big theme parks with a lot of spectacular attractions and shows in which the Disney figures also can be seen, resorts, hotels and the Disney vacation club.
Disneyland
Disneyland Paris is seen as the most beautiful of the five Magic Kingdoms on the world. The pink palace is the most fairytale of all Disney-palaces. Across the park is Disney Village and are seven Disney-Hotels: Santa Fe, Cheyenne, Newport Bay Club, Segouia Lodge, New York, Disneyland Hotel and David Crockett Ranch.
Walt Disney studios
In 2002 opened the filmpark next to Disneyland also Walt Disney Studios. The park hosts some unique attractions like: CinéMagique, Animagique, Armageddon and the most popular Crush’s Coaster. Crowd favorites are: the Tower of Terror and later also to Florida exported stunt show mechanics… Action!
Magic kingdom
Magic Kingdom is the most spacious Disney park. You need to go by ferry to come there. In addition to all the famous attractions is there a unique Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom. All the presidents come to life here.
Epcot
Epcot (an abbreviation of Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) is a future park as well as an international exhibition. In Future World are nine futuristic pavilions dedicated to science and technology. In World Showcase there are eleven countries who let their visitors experience
Hollywood studios
Hollywood Studios gives you a look behind the scenes of movie and television. Beside famous attractions as: The Tower of Terror and Star Tours, Hollywood Studios provides spectacular live shows like: Beauty and the Beast, Indiana Jones, Epic Stunt Spectacular and the Stunt show Lights, Motors, Action! The day ends with a show.
Animal Kingdom
Animal kingdom is a combination of the zoo and a park. Thanks to the safari park where visitors get driven with trucks, is Animal Kingdom the biggest Disney-Park ever build. Beside lots of animals, this animal kingdom has got some spectacular attractions like: roller coaster Expedition Everest and whitewater course Kali River Rapids.
LA Disneyland
Disneyland in LA is the dream that came true of Walt Disney. This park is convinced and build by the master. classics like The Enchanted Tiki Room, with singing birds and flowers, and Jungle Cruise are ideas of Walt himself.
California Adventure
The theme of California adventure is the state California. The nature, film industry, the beach, the culture and the people are the inspiration for this park. Popular attractions are: Soarin, Toy Story Mania and California Screamin. Every evening there will be an water show: World of Color.
Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland opened in 2005. It counts seven theme countries: Main Street U.S.A, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Toy Story Land, Grizzly Gulch and Mystic Point. The main street and the castle are based on the original Disneyland in Los Angeles. The most important attractions in this park are: It’s a small world, Space Mountain and the musical show The Golden Mickeys. The rollercoaster Runaway mine cars is unique because it has trains that go forward and backward. At the park are two hotels:
Tokyo Disneyland
Tokyo Disneyland is one of the most successful Disney-Parks. It’s always busy and to need to expend it if they want to fit all the people that come there. You will find all your favorites attractions like: Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain and The Haunted Mansion. There are nine hotels on the terrain with three of their own: Ambassador, MiraCosta and the Disneyland Hotel.
