Principal's Message

Lake Pleasant Families,

This week was another busy one with so much learning and excitement going on. As you can see in the highlight section our kindergarten and 1st graders celebrated 100 days of school! Makes us adults realize how quickly this school year is going by and how much our students have been learning. As a staff we continue to strive and work toward personalizing learning for our students and help them reach their full potential. This is no easy task, but our teachers are working hard and determined to meet the needs of all our students, and I am so proud of their efforts.

This week I focused on the word Perseverance for my weekly message to the students. This is an important word for educators as we must instill this in our students because learning can be hard and frustrating. The quote was “A man is not finished when he’s defeated; he’s finished when he quits”. When learning it can be tempting to quit when we just can't meet a goal or accomplish a task and then come up with excuses as to why we can never learn something. At Lake Pleasant we want our students to always believe that they can do ANYTHING, and we are here as educators and parents to help them achieve any goal! Quitting is never a choice here at Lake Pleasant and we hope to develop great perseverance in our students!

Thank you again for being an amazing group of parents and we appreciate being your teammate in education! Have a great week everyone!

Have a great week Silverhawk's,

Aaron Bagwell
