Today was a mixed bag as we left the Island of Antioco for mainland Sardinia.
The scenery constantly changed, even whilst still on the Island and again on the mainland. Mostly very rural and numerous small vineyards and farms covered the rolling hills with the occasional small and run down village. The weather was also under threat with a little rain and rolling thunder surrounding us, but not as wet as it has been on previous days.
The highlight of the day was a visit to an impressive cave system and we were able to convinced them to provide the guided tour in English.
The evening wouldn’t be complete without Beer and Pizza and a number of tired bodies after another 60+ Kms on heavy bikes!
