Principal's Message

Lake Pleasant Families,

We had another great week of learning and school spirit this week! Thank you for everyone who participated as the kids looked great all dressed up throughout the week and it was fun to see everyone's personalities. We also had a great first spirit assembly with our 5th-8th graders and it was fun and engaging for all while able to celebrate our teams who started competition this week. I was able to go to the games and watch our kids compete and represent our community which is always a special time for me.

One of the important things I have always thought as an educator is the importance of learning from failure. Learning is always messy and it can vary how quickly we can learn something new. I hope our students come each day ready to be challenged, pushed and ultimately feel proud of their efforts in school whether they were successful or not. That is what learning is all about. Believing in yourself, persevering through the challenges and then having that feeling of accomplishment and success when we are able to push through and EARN it. As an educator there is no better joy for me in seeing/hearing a student that got that "Aha" moment and ready to show off their learning. I am looking forward to watching our students have these moments throughout the year.

Have a great week Silverhawks,

Aaron Bagwell

Proud Principal

You may have gotten an email this week with your child's balance. If you have a zero balance nothing to worry about and you might want to consider adding some dollars to your child's account. If the balance is -2.50 that means that your child received lunch but owes 2.50. Starting next week students will only be allowed to charge 2 lunches then they will be served a Cheese or Ham & Cheese sandwich as their option. KONA ICE THIS FRIDAY

It is always a treat to have Kona Ice at dismissal on Friday to send us off on our weekend. We do have a request from John our awesome facilities manager to ensure that we try and not spill the sugar water along the front of the school. We like to keep the front area welcoming and clean and sugar water (while delicious) can certainly be difficult to clean up. Thanks in advance for your help!
