2022 has ended, and what better way to celebrate the new year than to take a look back to our best moments? So we asked our community to send us their favorite images from 2022. And what can we say? We were so overwhelmed with the quantity and quality of the images that we picked our favorites for five different categories!

People
What a lovely photograph! The representation of elders in stock is quite essential. It empowers and demonstrates that there is no age limit for seeing the world and making new experiences. The light shines brightly on the lovers!
What a powerful image! The color treatment, the contrast between the water's cold tones and the skin's warmth, and especially the lips, works beautifully to catch our eyes!
Great video! The casting is amazing, showing all kinds of body sizes in a fun, relaxed way. This is a perfect example of making your models feel comfortable to get the best of them!
So much emotion in one shot! This photo speaks to all veterans’ families. Huge respect to those those who have given up all to strive for a better future. The human component of the image, with the focus on the child, is what makes this image so intense.
This shot provides a unique viewpoint! The light is hitting the runner at the perfect time, resulting in a stunning shadow in the track course. Because of the high visual quality, this image is ideal for commercial usage.
Animals
There are several dog photographs around, but this one genuinely gives a calming atmosphere to man’s best friend. The color scheme emphasizes the season and brings lots of serenity to the image.
This image does a great job of showing the connection between the horse and its rider. The way they smile at each other shows how comfortable they are together. The color scheme is also interesting, with a good balance between cold greens, warm browns, and oranges.
Nature has once again shown us its splendor. The deliberate use of a lower f-stop emphasizes the richness of textures and colors.
We have many images of cute animals at Adobe Stock, but catching a sleuth of four bear cubs is something different! This image has lots of potential uses, from environmentalism to concepts of family, safety, or even health!
Alpacas! And there are five of them. Roxane Bay is a Lhama whisperer who was able to catch these magnificent creatures in perfect synchronicity, yet each Lhama has its own unique look.
Landscape
Having a human element on a landscape image immediately adds an extra layer of interest to the image and, usually, makes the photo more interesting for travel for us as an audience, since we have a connection with what's inside the frame. In this case, it's not only taking us to the breathtaking view, but also to the cold wind and the warmth of the bonfire. Finally, the color and light contrast works perfectly to draw our attention both to the human and what he's looking at.
One of the things drone photography has brought us is new perspectives and new point of view of iconic places. Here we have the Ángel de la Independencia in Mexico city, with the sun shining over it, presenting us its city as we are not used to see.
The perfectly still water of this image creates a reflection so pure that the image becomes something surreal! This image work great as a nature background, which is something with lots of potential uses. The almost parallel lines of the tree trunks contrast with the green line of the ground, creating geometrical patterns with an organic feel that is really interesting.
This landscape photograph has a really dreamlike aspect to it. It has an industrial tone and might be quite useful for buyers wishing to discuss industry-related subjects.
What a beautiful photo! Star photography is always exciting but with this image is also a powerful way to make us feel connected to nature and the universe. It is also a great example on how to add a human element to your travel or landscape images, without needing a model with you!

This is a very interesting and powerful concept: on how love can tear down walls that keep us isolated and take us to new worlds. OR at least that is one of the possible ways to read this image! The composition is clear, and the lightning contrast drives our attention from the dark to the light, open spaces.
The level of realism in this 3D render is incredible. Paul C did an excellent job at adding texture, adjusting light, and creating a lovely artwork.
This is a visual concept that can be used in so many different situations that becomes a perfect example of a great stock image. Clean, with a nice color scheme that drives our attention to the point of interest. Composition also allows a lot of versatility for customers to use the image in their communication's needs.
This Gen AI illustration is an excellent choice for a backdrop. The ramifications and intricacies of the breaches combine to form a hugely complex design. Good job!
Funny image with lots of potential usages! The use of lightning is particularly well done, with cool tones that set a chill mood, contrasting with the warm light touches that makes us feel as comfortable as the panda on the image. Composition allows some copyspace on the sky while all the elements are well cohesive and integrated.
Still life
This still life is contemporary, bringing a new approach to capture objects and food. The shadows add depth to the image and contribute to its visual appearance. Bravo!
Dreamlike texture with surreal lines... Obviously, a mushroom! The contrast between the cold blue and the warm tones of beige works very well. Also the detail of the image makes it feel really powerful and interesting. Now, the only question we have is, was it tasty?
This is a simple yet lovely still life. The image conveys the food’s richness. We can all taste it from where we are! Simi is an excellent example of a multifaceted artist, with a diverse and interesting portfolio.
It is easy to forget how little we need to have an interesting picture! Just a simple acorn can be something exciting if you give it some love to the composition, the lightning and the color composition. This image has multiple uses, from a design element, to be used conceptually to talk about nature, autumn or even minimalism!
What a unique technique to capture flowers! The reflection of the flowers in the mirror creates a different perspective. The many colors and forms provide variety and movement to the image. Commercially, this picture could be utilized in a variety of ways by various consumers.
