Examples of Adobe After Effects

What Is After Effects ?

A software primarily used for creating visual effects and motion graphics. It allows users to edit, animate, and compose media 2D and or 3D space with many built-in tools and third party plug-ins. It also provides individual attention to variables like parallax and also user adjustable angles of observation.

How Does It Work ?

After Effects is a layer-oriented program. Each individual media object such as audio clips, video clips, still images, run on its own. Non-linear editing systems use a system where individual media objects can occupy the same track as long as they do not overlap. This system is more suitable for editing and can keep project files more simple. The layer oriented system is suitable for key framing and extensive video effects work.

The Interface

The main interface consists of several panels. The three most common panels are the Composition panel, Project panel, and the Timeline panel. The Project panel acts as a bin for compositions and imported still images, audio footage items, or videos. Footage files in the Project panel are also used in the Timeline panel. Items visible at the current time marker are displayed in the Composition panel.

Similar Features

After Effects shares many features with other Adobe programs, such as creating shapes that are defined by Bézier curves. Like Photoshop and Illustrator, After Effects can manipulate and import many image formats, adjustments, and filters.

Integrates

After Effects integrates with other Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Flash, and Encore . Additionally, it works with third party 3D programs like Cinema 4D, Autodesk 3D MAX, and LightWave 3D.
