2019-2020 Annual Report Stanford Recreation and Wellness

YOU DO YOU

with Stanford Recreation and Wellness

Stanford Recreation and Wellness has been committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring space for the students, staff, faculty, and affiliates of Stanford University since 2006. Our mission is to Inspire a Healthier Stanford while growing our staff, participants, and programs along the way.

The unforeseen and profoundly challenging events of 2020 reinvented the way we think about fitness and recreation. When you moved to shelter in place in March, we brought Stanford Recreation and Wellness to you. With virtual fitness, adventure program videos, virtual summer camps, and online intramurals, our dedicated staff moved our offerings online with the plan to develop our virtual content indefinitely. We take pride in offering FREE virtual recreation classes to the Stanford Community and beyond.

As we initiate our reopening phases this academic year, we want you to know we are steadfastly implementing and maintaining safety measures to every Recreation and Wellness facility. We aim to provide the cleanest and safest environment for you, our loyal patrons.

We are expanding our virtual presence into next academic year to ensure no one misses out on the fun. We invite all of Stanford to participate in our virtual as well as on-campus offerings. We have many options for you to choose from including swimming in our pools and reserving workout time at the SRWC. Prefer to stay at home? No problem! Take our virtual fitness classes, keep in touch with the Stanford community through our social media, and track your fitness progress with our Strava club. The choice is yours!

YOU. DO. YOU.
