Once you arrive @ The Avenue Church, you will make your way to our Avenue Kids Check-In location where you will be greeted by our Check-In Experience Team! Just look for the big balloons! We have two Avenue Kids Experience Times available for you on each Sunday of the month!

• 8:00AM Experience: Avenue Kids Check-In opens @ 7:15 AM! Avenue Kids doors open at 7:30 AM!
• 9:30AM Experience: Avenue Kids Check-In opens @ 9:00 AM! Avenue Kids doors open after 8:00 AM service pick-up is complete. Check-In is open until 10:00 AM!
• 11:30AM Experience: Avenue Kids Check-In Experience opens @ 11:00 AM; Avenue Kids doors open after 9:30 AM service pick-up is complete! Check-In is open until 12:00 PM!

Please Note: Transition times between services may vary at times, based on how God moves through our Main Experience. We appreciate your patience as our teams operate to ensure the safety of our Avenue Kids in these moments!

Don’t worry! We know that new experiences and new faces can sometimes feel overwhelming for both you, and your child. Our foundational process is to give children 15 minutes to settle into their classroom. If at this time they are still having a difficult time adjusting, our Avenue Kids Staff will directly contact you via text message to come and pick-up your child. This ensures that both parent and child develop a healthy relationship with our Avenue Kids Staff teams.

• We encourage you to be consistent in allowing your child to participate in our Avenue Kids experience. If your child has a difficult time adjusting away from you, try again next week!

You child will be with their friends in their own age-appropriate classroom. Every classroom, 8 weeks - 6th grade, is staffed with our Avenue Kids Staff teams. Each member of our team has completed Growth Track & has completed and cleared a nationwide background check. We also have an amazing team of youth volunteers who connect with your child each week, ensuring every child has a great experience.

When our Main Experience has ended, you may promptly exit from our commons area, and head back to our Avenue Kids Check-In Experience location. We have security teams in place to ensure that parents/guardians have the appropriate identification tags to pick-up children. If you have lost your tag, you will need to let them know before entering. Our Check-In team can help get you a new matching tag. You MUST have the correct, matching tag in order to pick-up your child. You will need to keep your identification tag for ALL children you have checked in.

• Please note: Our Avenue Kids Staff is trained to ask for identification tags upon parent pick-up. If you do not have your tag, we kindly ask that you be sensitive to the safety measures that are in place for our Avenue Kids, & politely see our check-in team for a new tag. AVENUE KIDS TEACHERS CANNOT PRINT NEW TAGS.

• Arriving on time for the service you are attending helps maintain a calm environment for both your child, as well as the other children in their classroom.
• Drop off quickly! We know it can be hard on the heart of a parent when your child is crying. A lingering drop-off is guaranteed to make this more difficult. We encourage you to drop & go, and trust our teams to notify you if your child has a difficult time adjusting. If you prefer less than a 15 minute timeframe, please feel free to communicate this to our team & we will be happy to adjust that time for your child.
• If your child has any special needs, or any special methods that you know will help calm them, communicate this to the teacher upon drop-off.
• Be available via text message in the event that your child is not able to adjust to their environment. We strive to establish relationships built on trust with each family, and this is an essential piece for your child to feel safe.
• Keep trying! We encourage every family to keep trying, each week, by continuing to bring your child to our Avenue Kids Experience. Over time, we assure you they will love it.
