Art Department

At North we have classes of sculpture and pottery. The art department has three teachers. Each teacher has six classes. In each class there's is a limited number of students who can take the class - 32 - because of equipment and supplies. This year, every art class is full.

Ceramic and Sculpture classes take their time to do at least four projects a semester. The teacher will make an assignment and the students will interpret in different ways.

Choir Department

At North there are five choirs. The highest level choir is Madrigals. Students have to audition to be selected for can Madrigals, and only 24 people are chosen. The choir department has three concerts every school year: winter, spring and a Redskins Rhythms concert. There is also a Christmas special, the Madrigal Feast. The Madrigal Feast is like a medieval feast, with traditional Christmas music and a meal.

Band & Orchestra

Marching Band performs at festivals, parades and contests, besides performing halftime shows at football games.

Besides band, the instrumental music department has Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Mariachi Band.

Every student must take a Fine Arts course to meet graduation requirements. Many students take art or music classes all four years of high school.
