Overview
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has allocated over $71.9 million in long-term recovery funds to the state of Michigan to support recovery and mitigation efforts following severe storms and flooding in 2020 and 2021. Michigan received $59,898,000 in Community Development Block Grant-Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds for 2020 and $12,033,000 in CDBG-DR funds for 2021.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is seeking feedback about how these funds should be used. MEDC is hosting a series of storm recovery public hearings to collect public input.

- September 15th at Columbus Hall, Gladwin
- September 20th at Robichaud High School, Dearborn Heights

Flyers are availalbe for each of the four public hearings. Print and distribute these flyers to people you serve. Consider posting in your office, asking restaurants and shops to hang them in their windows or passing them out at libraries, banks and other local places with active foot traffic.

MEDC wants to know what you think about plans to use over $71.9 million in Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
