Jonah had a father, as he was the son of Amittai.
The Bible is silent about relationships when it comes to Jonah, the son of Amittai. The Bible never said he had children, and the Bible never did not have children.

Jonah's Prayer:
"In my distress, I called to the Lord, and He answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry. You hurled into the depths, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled around me; all your waves and breakers swept over me. I said, 'I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.' The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed wrapped around my head. To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth barred me in forever. But you, Lord your God, brought my life life up from the pit. When my life was ebbing Way, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple. Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God's love for them. But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, 'Salvation comes from the Lord.'" Jonah 2:10
Jonah is a prophet of God, and he was instructed to preach to the city of Nineveh. He is mostly famous for being eaten alive by "a big fish," consequently for cowardly running from his job description.
Jonah: "Those who regard worthless idols, Forsake their own Mercy. But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving. I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord." Jonah 2: 8-9
What I have learned from Jonah was being courageous and not cowardly. I want to be able to show mercy even to the people I truly hate. I learned that to God, everyone is still equal, no matter their wrongdoings.
The spiritual moment that I have received from this person is that we are not to judge people even if they have done wrong, because God is the true Judge, and that we have to see in God's perspective in order to know what is right.
Sometimes, we do some things God does not want us to do, and we stray from Him. We end up in situations like Jonah, and it helps us remember God in all His wisdom. So whenever remember Him, we pray and repent of our sin, and He leads us the right way, just like Jonah.
