Apollo House contemporary Jazz Quartet

Apollo House are a contemporary jazz quartet from Manchester, UK.

Formed in 2021 at the Royal Northern College of Music, the band features saxophonist Matt Hodson, pianist Finlay MacTaggart, bassist Vivien Griffin and drummer Louis Reilly.

Taking inspiration from artists including Mammal Hands, Portico Quartet and RNCM alumni GoGo Penguin, Apollo House have created their own individual style of music using driving beats and pulsating rhythms coupled with hypnotic melodies and mesmerising harmony.

Combining ambient, electronica and jazz music alongside live experimentation, Apollo House fuse their innovation of genres to create their own brand of ethereal music.

Influenced by nature, adventure and the exploration of the unknown, Apollo House aim to push the boundaries of what is capable within a collaborative project in order to explore the sonic landscape through the use of electronics and improvisation.
