2018 LMI Young Scientist Program LMI Scientific Symposium

December 13 & 14, 2018 | Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The inaugural symposium brought together the scientific community from the Lower Mekong countries to share research presentations on environment, water, and energy. The young scientists had the opportunity to hear from experts on best practices regarding collaborating on research, identifying funding and co-publishing, with the opportunity to present side-by-side with renowned researchers addressing today’s environmental challenges in the region.

In the spirit of environmental protection, the program participants showcased their academic research projects, as well as their innovative solutions to community-based projects that included an energy warning system for smart electric meters and a pump-water filtration system for schools in rural areas, among many others.
