Husky E-News March 6th, 2022

From the Principal

Dear Hillendale Families,

Last week brought a change to our UCFSD Health and Safety Plan including a change to a mask optional policy for students and staff. Hillendale students and staff proved yet again their incredible flexibility, compassion, and respect as they supported one another through a change that brings us even closer to normalcy. Although spring is not quite here yet, the excitement in our school has been palpable!

Thank you for your time, energy, donations, and support to help make Read Across America Week so special for our children! Enjoy a few pictures below of our festivities before some exciting updates from our PTO about spring events upcoming.

We look forward to our in school "Lip Sync" full school assembly (our first in a long, long time!) this Friday afternoon and to hosting UCFSD's "Oldies Dance" for 5th graders this Friday, March 11th!

As our second trimester concludes this Wednesday, expect an email later this week explaining the process to register for spring conferences planned for early April.

Have a great week!

Animal Shelter Collection Drive

Hillendale's Autistic Support classrooms are working on a special service project benefiting local animal shelters. Students in the autistic support classroom created the poster below to advertise their effort to collect supplies they intend to donate. If you are interested, please consider making a small donation to their cause as they learn about helping animals in our community. The last day for donations is THIS FRIDAY, March 11th.
