Poison. Sinking ship. Dagger. Ice-cold sea. Many story characters have met their fate by these items. Not all of them, but some of them have. The two stories I'm going to talk about met their fate by these items. I present to you: Romeo and Juliet vs Titanic. Two different stories, but, yet, with so many similarities, some more important than others.
Here is a quick reminder of both stories.
Romeo and Juliet
Romeo and Juliet are deeply in love with each other, but they’re separated by their families’ hate. They decided to get married anyway, but Juliet was to marry Count Paris in three days. So, Juliet asked the priest to give her a potion that would make her look dead, then tell Romeo about her plan, but, somehow, Romeo learned that Juliet was dead. So he went to her grave, where she lay “dead”, kissed Juliet, then drank a poison kissed her again and died just when she woke up. At seeing her love lost, Juliet grabbed Romeo’s dagger and stabbed it through her heart so that she could not be with any other man.
Titanic
Jack Dawson and Roe DeWitt Bukater were two passengers in the great voyage of the RMS Titanic. Jack was a third class citizen, Rose was a first class citizen until her family lost lots of money and she was to marry Caledon Hockley, a very mean millionaire. Jack just won a price to go to the trip. They didn’t fall in love at first sight, their love came a little slower. Unfortunately, Jack died in the terrible accident.
Similarities between Romeo and juliet and titanic
Some important similarities are that both stories are love tragedies, also, both couples are separated by fate. Both Rose and Juliet are meant to be married to the man they don’t love. Both stories have sad endings. They are also about forbidden/socially unacceptable love and, Rose and Juliet hate the men they are supposed to marry. There you go.

There also are some important differences. In Romeo and Juliet, their deaths could have been prevented. In Titanic it couldn’t. Rose and Jack weren’t from the same social, but Romeo and Juliet were. Also, Juliet’s fiance, Paris, was a good man. Rose’s fiance, Caledon, was a bad, ambitious person. And last, but not least on Titanic only Jack dies. In Romeo and Juliet, both of them die.
