What is this project about?
The Summer Academy plays a vital role in ensuring the development of all National Committees [NC] within the European Youth Parliament [EYP]. My aim with this project is to dive deeper into the lessons everyone has learnt within the extent of this session's main themes. What does this theme mean to NC members, why is this important, and how can we develop on these topics?
There will be three people answering these questions in statements which is on the left, and expressing the importance on the right. These will span NC Management, Mental Health and Diversity & Inclusion.
NC MANAGEMENT
NC management is important for everything. In the context of NC boards, it is like an actual government. You want it to be competent and successful because that means the NC will be creating great events. It will progress and flourish naturally. Developing your volunteers actively will definitely be a great asset to achieving this goal.
My tip for every NC would be 'Remain steady, be systematic'.

Mental health
Without mental health, there is no EYP. It is a great foundation that makes volunteers do their jobs and participants participate. Without it, there would be many toxic environments where solely a minority feels safe within EYP.
My tip is 'Be Honest & Communicate'. Taking care of your members by creating a safe place is very important.

Diversity & Inclusion
Diversity brings a lot of perspectives. If we see the world through one set of eyes, we only see one side of a cube. Things that make us different could be our race, religion, and disabilities among others. With many different groups sharing their opinions, we can create a more welcoming environment. So everyone not only feels safe but their opinions are valued. Only then can we make people feel the same as all others.
My tip is 'look through the eyes of someone else'. Take a look at what other NCs are struggling with, so we can aid each other in the experiences we go through.
