THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

First day on site. The task was to install a new reinforced 13m x 6m concrete pool. To be 1.3m - 2.1m In graduated depth. To complete the project we will include an in-ground safety cover, UV filtration system, and two huge air-source heat pumps!

Fully excavated. We came across a lot of groundwater so we have laid a washed limestone base to allow for the movement of water under the pool.

Insulation shuttering and twin layer A393 mesh installed, now time for the concrete.

SHOTCRETE

Shotcrete or sprayed concrete is concrete or mortar conveyed through a hose and pneumatically projected at high velocity...

Concrete shell complete. Now we leave to cure for approximately three weeks then we can get the pool rendered and tiled...

With the pool backfilled we can start thinking about the pavings and surrounding wall.

Rendered, concrete surround.

With the pool rendered and concrete surround complete we can now start to work on the finishing features...

The retaining wall is now holding back all the earth we have taken out of the pool creating a suitable landscaping area for trees and shrubs...

We worked with the customer to find some old reclaimed stock bricks to match the house for this surrounding wall. This undoubtedly provides the wow factor!

Fully tiled with stunning, Ezarri tiles. we can now turn our efforts and focus to the new turf.

MATERIALS / FINISHES

Ezarri tiles complete with Indian sandstone surround.

Safety cover installed.

UV filtration set up with multi-cyclone. This system hugely reduces chemicals and water wastage.

Norsup Air source heat pumps keep the pool at 30 degrees all year round!
