About me
My name is Jared Obrique and I am currently a junior at California State University, Fullerton. I am expected to graduate in the spring semester of 2023 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. As a marketing major, I'm fascinated by the way that music labels, movie studios, and sports teams use marketing in order to gain the results they are looking for. Outside of school I enjoy playing basketball and connecting with friends on my free time. I have volunteered as an assitant coach at Carson Park to help kids practice basketball and prepare for their games, I participate in giving food to the homeless every Thanksgiving at my church, and more. I like to think of myself as a person anyone would like to be around, I am always looking to improve myself and help those around me, and I am a very quick to adapt to my environment.

Marketing Information Technology
In my class, Marketing Information Technology, I was given the opportunity to create a tangible output regarding a situation on how a certain Tech Brand could be used to help Allbirds increase awareness and/or sales of its new eco-friendly Trail Runner SWT shoes to Gen Z consumers in the San Diego market. Out of multiple platforms, I chose to use photoshop to create an advertisement for that specific shoe. I utilized various features on photoshop in order to create a professional image that I believe would increase the sales of that shoe. In that process I conducted research on the shoes features, data on the city of San Diege, and data on their social media.
Consumer Behavior
For a Marketing Consumer Behavior class, I was placed into a group of alongside three other classmates to do research on a topic regarding consumer Behavior. Our topic was Horizontal Marketing and how it was used in the marketing world. We specifically target social media and how it fit in a horizontal market.
Seven Days Moving Co.
Seven Days moving is a moving company that satisfies the wants and needs of our customers. As an employee at Seven Days Moving, I alongside other teammates complete tasks such as moving people from one house to another, packing and loading trucks such as uhauls, and moving any objects that the customer is incapable of moving. Through this job, I have had the pleasure of meeting many people, creating connections and learning about what they do for a living.
