- happened in 8000 BCE, what? They learned how to farm. AFter that they were able to settle down and establish permanent settlements

- Happened in the 1600's, began with new methods; crop rotation, better horse collars.
- 3. What is the third agricultural revolution
- Began in 1940s, 1950s, new strains of hybrid seeds and fertilizers were invented.
- GMO's: is the result of a laboratory process involved with DNA that is extracted into genes of an unrelated plant or animal.
- subsistence farming: Is when farmers grow crops for the good of the own family. commercial farming: Is when farmers grow crops and sell to others. When produce is consumed by an individual farmer or his family, or sold or exchanged among a small group, it is known as Subsistence agriculture.
