Ubicado en la ciudad de Salto del Guairá, cuenta con 1.356 hectáreas de bosques recuperados y recibe a sus visitantes con miras al turismo educativo y destacando el compromiso de la ITAIPU con el medioambiente, ha sido acondicionado para la recepción de visitantes de forma a convertirse en un vínculo entre la naturaleza y el hombre. El punto de partida del circuito turístico, es el sendero “La Esperanza” de 970 metros lineales, al finalizar el sendero, se pueden visitar el Centro de Interpretación, el muelle y el mirador dispuesto para contemplación de aves.

Mbaracayu Biological Refuge
Mbaracayu biological refuge, located in the city of Salto del Guairá, it has 1.356 hectares of recovered forest and receives it visitors with a view to educational tourism and highlightning ITAIPU´s commitment to the enviroment, it has been conditioned for the reception of visitors in order to become a link between men and nature. The starting point of the tourist circuit is the trail “La Esperanza” of 970 linear meters at the end of the trail you can visit the interpretative center, the pire, and the viewpoint set up for birdwatching. The Mbaracayu Biological Refuge represents a succesful case of ecological restoration at a regional level.
