A Nun's Life by Albert Normandin

A Nun’s Life

Over the course of many years of travelling in Myanmar, I have been following the life of Buddhist Nun’s.

As woman and young girls live their lives of dedication and studies in a very private way at these Nunneries, I was hesitant and careful to enter into their world.

After many visits and long deep conversations with the headmasters at a few of the Nunneries, I have been fortunate to have been accepted by them and allowed to visit and observe.

The Burmese are a very shy culture, but they are also a very close community. Helping and taking great care of each other in family life. But also in the life of Nuns, they also take great care of each other like a large family.

They have complete dedication and devotion to praying, studying, meditation and helping each other. The result is a community of peace, love and happiness, like no other.
