ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year

Kelsey Brown from Midland University has been named the 2022 ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year.

Before becoming a Coach, Brown played at Hastings College (NAIA) where she was the GPAC player of the year for 3 consecutive years and received All-American honors her senior year.

As a coach, Brown has been just as impressive as in 2022 she helped lead both the Men's and Women's programs to historic seasons, including conference championships for both teams.

Previously, Kelsey Brown played at Hastings College (NAIA) where she was the GPAC player of the year for 3 consecutive years. Also, she was named All American at the end of her senior year, which is a great accomplishment.

As a coach at Midland University, Kelsey has guided both men's and women's teams to an incredible record this year making modern history for Midland (Men: 20-4 - Women: 19-5). Both teams were also conference champions with an undefeated record.

Kelsey Brown is currently volunteering at an animal shelter, "Poor Old Farm" and is also one of the board members. She is also a part of the FCA board at Midland University.

One of Kelsey`s strongest characteristics is that she is humble and she loves giving it back to the community proactively.

From a head coach's perspective, Kelsey has demonstrated great communication and leadership skills even in times of hardship. She is very devoted to her work and responsibilities, making her a great coach for any athletic department.
