United way campaign:

Parent/Teacher Conferences: November 1.

Scholastic Book Fair: October 31 - November 4

Book Fair begins Monday October 31 and will go through November 4th. Unfortunately this year all items will be taxed. Please keep this in mind when sending money with your student. I highly recommend using the eWallet this year to help keep track of money. The website will have teacher wish lists if you are interested in donating books to your child's classroom. Any questions please let me know. ~ Liz Bennett

Veteran's Day:

Weston will be holding a Veterans Day program on Friday, November 11 at 10:30 AM to celebrate our Veterans. We will congregate around the flag pole. If there is inclement weather, we will move to the gym. Community members are invited to attend. The program should last approximately 15-20 minutes.

GC E-Learning Days

E-Learning Days for 2022-2023. Students do not attend school on these days. They will be sent activities and/or live teaching on their iPads. Teachers will have office hours if you have questions. More information to come closer to time.

Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO)

Thank you to everyone who placed a Spirit Wear order. Those orders should be delivered early next week! They will come home in your child’s backpack. Missed the Spirit Wear order this time around? No worries! We will offer another Spirit Wear sale in the spring!

Please be on the lookout in the next few weeks for some important PTO events we are starting to plan. With Covid restrictions lifted, we are excited to get back to in-person events like Breakfast with Santa! More info to come soon!

School Lunch & Breakfast Fees ~ The school meals program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, school corporations across the country have been operating with the use of a federal waiver that allowed them to feed every child for free through the end of this school year. The use of this waiver will not be available this school year and corporations will return to the traditional eligibility requirements for free, reduced and paid meals. This means that for School Year 2022-2023, our school corporation will be charging students for breakfasts and lunches. Free & Reduced Application for Families

EZ School Pay ~ Lunch Accounts - Greenfield-Central is once again using www.ezschoolpay.com to put lunch money in your child’s lunch account (there is a small fee and you will need your child’s student number found on Powerschool). Lunch money may also be submitted by check when you come to registration. Please be sure to keep your child’s lunch account in good standing. Additionally, our cafeteria computer system does not have the capabilities to put a “block” on student lunch accounts for purchasing extra lunch items. You will want to make sure your child is on the same page as you when it comes to spending lunch account money. FYI, you can also pay textbook rental fees and iPad insurance on ezschoolpay as well! https://www.ezschoolpay.com/Login.aspx

YMCA

YMCA ~ We do offer YMCA after school care. Weston students will be bussed after school to Harris Elementary. Please visit the link below to register your student and read more information regarding the program.
