What is Bronchitis?

Bronchitis is when the airways in the lungs swell and mucus to produce, to cause a person to cough.

Causes

Acute bronchitis is usually caused by viruses. Chronic bronchitis is commonly caused by smoking cigars. Air pollution and toxic air can also cause chronic bronchitis.

Signs and Symptoms

  • Coughing that produces muscus
  • Soreness in chest
  • Being tired
  • Mild headache
  • Body aches
  • Fever
  • Watery eyes
  • Sore throat

Treatment

For acute bronchitis it doesn need any medications because it is never caused by bacteria so it heals by itself. In Chronic bronchitis, it might help if you do pulmonary rehabilitation which is a program that helps you breath.

Preventions

You can prevent getting bronchitis by avoiding smoke and secondhand smoke, washing your hands, and take all the immunization that you need. Also you can wear masks when going outside, use a humidifier, and aviod any bad air.
