On December 13th, 2016, AVS students and teachers took a trip to the Britannia Mines to learn about mining and how it can affect our world. We also learned more specifically about Britannia; the history and how it's used today.
We got the opportunity to go down into the mines, and through some of the buildings, learning about what they were used for back when Britannia was being used for mining.
After we toured the mines and the mill, we went back inside to learn about some of the environmental issues with mining, and how we can solve those problems.
