Geography & weather
- Connecticut was the coldest of the 13 colonies.
- Winters were very long, on the coast, they got about 20 inches of snow and near the northern mountains they got 40 to 50 inches.
- However, summers were mild and short with occasional tornado's and thunder storms.
- They are covered with thick forest and rocky soil, making it hard to farm.
- Atlantic Ocean bordered southern Connecticut. Eastern Connecticut is very hilly.
