Dear DAVians,

Greetings of the day!

Hope you all are enjoying a long awaited short break after completion of the session . Your active participation in the happiness activities, is overwhelming.

I would like to share the following quote-

Dear students Happiness makes people joyful and fill them with wisdom and compassion. Sometime we feel that material pleasures can make us happy, but it is not true. A person who is wealthy may or may not be happy. However, a person who is happy is always wealthy.

In our daily life we may find unpleasant or annoying things. We can transform everything into joy with positive mindset by strongly living by the mantra - never give up no matter what. Always find joy in small things in life. Your happiness should not be dependent on people or circumstances, rather you spread the happiness around.

March 20th is the UN International Day of Happiness. We can create a happier and kinder world together by adopting simple, daily practices.

There are lots of issues in our world right now. We can’t always change what is happening, but we can choose how we respond.

Here are three simple steps you can use anytime to help make life happier and kinder. Please give it a try and, if you find it helpful, share it with others too.

STEP 1: BE MINDFUL

Relax your breathing and notice:

How am I feeling right now?

STEP 2: BE GRATEFUL

Look around you and ask yourself:

What am I thankful for?

STEP 3: BE KIND

With warm feelings, ask yourself:

Who do I want to send love to?

The HAPPINESS STUDY ranks the countries of the world on the basis of questions from the GALLUP WORLD POLL. The results are then correlated with other factors, including GDP and SOCIAL SECURITY. The United States ranks at 19th place for happiness, despite being one of the richest countries in the world.
