PENN STATE WINS GOODYEAR COTTON BOWL CLASSIC December 28, 2019 | AT&T Stadium

Penn State players had special decals on their helmets to honor the legacy of Wally Triplett and his impact on the Cotton Bowl.
RB Journey Brown was named the game's offensive MVP. He rushed for 202 yards to rank sixth in Cotton Bowl history and break the Penn State record of 194 yards set by Saquon Barkley in the 2017 Rose Bowl. He also scored two touchdowns.
LB Micah Parsons was the game's defensive MVP. He totaled a career-high-tying 14 tackles, which are tied for fifth in a Penn State bowl game and equal his total from last year's Citrus Bowl. Parsons also had 2.0 sacks, which are tied for the most in a Penn State bowl game with eight others, and forced two fumbles.
Penn State, Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State are the only four teams in the last three seasons to win two or more New Year's Six Bowl games.
