Clinic Volunteers Needed! - We are looking for volunteers during lunch period (12:00pm-1:30pm) to help out in our office clinic. You would be providing basic first aid and some TLC (cleansing scrapes, minor cuts and applying band aids, taking temperatures, etc). Please click the button below to signup. Bagel Availability - If you missed the Schroeder Bagel Days sign-up at the beginning of the year, please note that extra bagels are available for students to purchase on bagel days. If your child is interested in purchasing a bagel, the price is $1.25 each. Please be aware that the office does not have change, so exact amount is appreciated.

Schroeder Employment Opportunities

We would like to share information regarding employment opportunities at Schroeder Elementary. These positions help support our students and school! They also provide an hourly wage to the people serving in the position. If you are looking for a position to earn an hourly age while helping our school, please read this information!

Employment Opportunity - Schroeder is looking for a few people to join our Noon Aide team! This is a paid position that involves supervising and assisting our students in the cafeteria and on the playground during lunch and lunch recess. Interested in joining the Schroeder Science Olympiad team? - Elementary Science Olympiad is organized by WOSO (Wayne Oakland Science Olympiad), a non-profit organization. It is open to all schools from Wayne and Oakland County. There are 16 topics total and 16 kids in each team. It’s currently open for 5th grade students and possibly 3rd and 4th grade (depending on someone leading at grade level). Each participant is assigned two topics by the head coach and the parent of the participant is responsible to coach one of the topics assigned.

Science Olympiad is a parent run program on a volunteer basis. The parent and child must be committed throughout the Science Olympiad season and work together as a team to benefit the whole team. Our record:

  • 2016 - 2nd place
  • 2017 - 4th grade: 1st place, 5th grade: 5th place
  • 2018 - 3rd and 5th grade: 2nd place

We are looking for committed parents and interested students to join our team next year as well as team leaders who can help manage the individual team and work with the head coach. Schroeder 4th grade students learned about natural disasters as part of their science unit. Students then quizzed each other in a Jeopardy gameshow format!
