The Human Rights Institute and The Institute for the Study of Sport, Society, and Social Change welcome you to San Jose State's second annual Research Colloquium for Human Rights and Social Change. The purpose of this conference is to engage scholars, students, and community organizations in conversations on research, reporting, and advocacy relating to human rights and social change. The event will include a keynote speaker and concurrent thematic student led presentation of research and an awards presentation for students, faculty, and community partners.

Student Research Presentations

We invited undergraduate and graduate students to share research, informational reporting and advocacy efforts that is relevant and meaningful to human rights and social change. Research can be at any stage of the process to take part in the colloquium. This program is to recognize and reward the work of students.

Awards will be presented for the work that best exemplifies the spirit of Human Rights and Social Change determined by a panel of judges.
