Futures for Somerset are currently working with Richard Huish College to deliver a replacement sports accommodation block comprising a Sport England compliant multi-sport hall suitable for club sports and league matches, with spectator seating, changing facilities, offices, reception, fitness suite and teaching accommodation. The project follows a successful Condition Improvement Fund bid to the Education Funding Agency by Futures for Somerset on behalf of the college.

Futures for Somerset have been appointed to provide Bid Writing, Feasibility, Project Management and Employer’s Agent services into the project. The project is being developed with Grainge Architects, RG Spiller and other local sub-contractors.

The project is expected to cost in the region of £2 million and will replace an existing sports dome facility. The site is at the heart of a tight campus and will require careful planning and phasing to ensure successful delivery alongside live operation of the college. Completion of this project is targeted for late 2016.
