The Outsiders Myranda Weiner

The book The Outsiders by S. E. Hinton takes place in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1965. With Dallas (Dally), Ponyboy, Darry, Johnny, Two-bit, Sodapop. These are the Greasers that don't like it when Socs mess with them and try to start stuff with them. Randy and Bob are the Socs that always mess with pony and his friends in socs territory or there very own territory even.

Johnny kills a Soc to save Ponyboy's life because he's being drowned by a Soc. Johnny and Ponyboy flee and tension rises between the Greasers and Socs. Johnny and Ponyboy save kids from a church fire and Johnny gets hit in the back by a beam and ends up in the hospital

Ponyboy was in Johnny's hospital room when Johnny says theses last words to Ponyboy " Stay gold Ponyboy." After those last words Johnny passes and the Greasers need a way to tell Dally that Johnny passed. After telling Dally Johnny was gone he went to a convenience store and pointed a gun at the clerk.

Dally runs out the convenience store and he calls Darry and tells him to come quick. When Darry, Ponyboy, and Sodapop are walking to where Dally said to go they see police. Dally holds up his gun in the air and the police tell him to put the gun down but he isn't listening to them. Then Darry, Ponyboy, and Sodapop hear a bang they look at the police way no one is shot over there. Then they turn Dally's way and see him fall to the ground. Ponyboy starts screaming and yelling at the police saying " no why he was just a kid how could you do this to him."

It's about a group of boys who are in a gang called The Greasers. They live on the east side of town, which is considered the wrong side of town. It is set in the 1960's.
