We loved playing the Ukulele in music this week, remembering our notes from last year. We were very good at the catchy song, ‘My dog has fleas!’ using all the open strings.
In Science we looked at the question, Does Sound travel through solids and gases? We thought sound travelled through some solis buttered not sure about some metals. We decided to test it using a decibel meter on the iPads.
We then used our knowledge to write up some amazing reports and used our maths work on subtraction to work out our answers! Amazing work Year 4!
In English we looked at expanded noun phrase and adjectives to describe different dragons using the book, Tell me a Dragon by Jackiw Morris. The pictures helped us think of lots of features of dragons and ways to describe these. We used this to think of similes to help us write a poem about our own dragon.
In art we looked at different drawings of dragons to see what we liked about them and how different dragons are portrayed. We chose our favourite to help us when we start drawing our own dragon.
A huge well done to everyone in golden book and stars of the week for such brilliant achievements last half term. Also a huge well done to our boxing superstar for winning an amazing belt last weekend! 🌟🌟
