A Note from the Director
Shortly after the school year began, our MVHS Chamber Choir spent a night camping in the shadow of Mount Timpanogos. We felt the mountain breeze, hiked to a scenic waterfall, sang with the whisper of the aspen trees, and played in fields of gold. It's no wonder that mankind has so long been inspired by the great outdoors. Some seek solitude, others recreation, others to find themselves or to find God. Regardless of the reason, mankind has been drawn to experience the beauty of the earth of which we are a part. Tonight we celebrate the great outdoors through a program of music about the earth, sea, and sky.
It has been an exceptional start of the school year. Already these student-musicians are rising to the challenge to be artists--to think deeply about music, poetry, and about the world around us. It is a joy and honor for me to be their director, and I look forward to making more great music with these great people throughout the school year.
