The Middle East and North Africa is home to the largest youth population in the world, while also recording the highest levels of youth unemployment.
This high unemployment level is mainly due to the mismatch between the needs of employers and the competencies of young job seekers, the education system not preparing them enough for today’s and tomorrow’s jobs. EFE-Maroc provides youth with career orientation, offers them skills trainings and places its graduates in high-demand jobs.
We believe in the untapped talent of the thousands of unemployed youth in Morocco. We offer skills and hope to a generation who needs both to reshape its future.
Who Are We?
The Moroccan Foundation of Education For Employment, known as EFE-Maroc, is an association under Moroccan law founded in 2008.
Our mission is to address youth unemployment by bridging the gap between labor market needs and the existing hard and soft skills of young job seekers. EFE-Maroc offers demand-driven skills trainings delivered by certified trainers and covering technical, commercial, behavioral and linguistic competencies. We place our graduates in career-launching jobs in high-demand sectors such as: offshoring, automotive, aeronautics, ICT, agribusiness, tourism, retail, banking and insurance.
EFE-Maroc operates in Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Tetouan, Al Hoceima, Fes, Meknes, Marrakesh and Safi. Our network of 500+ certified trainers allows us to deliver trainings across the whole country.

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2017
We expanded our partnership with the Citi Foundation for a fifth year
A little over 5 years ago, Education For Employment was a different organization, a pilot that still needed to be proven successful. Our path crossed the one of Citi, and together, we paved a real pathway to progress. The Citi Foundation has continuously invested in our strategic approach, our systems, our new curricula, our innovation and our expansion into new countries in the Middle East and North Africa.
In 2017, the project “Creating Economic Opportunities for MENA Youth” funded by Citi was renewed for the fifth consecutive year. To date, tens of thousands of young people have been trained and placed in jobs.
We launched a new partnership with Boeing for women economic empowerment
EFE’s project “Creating Pathways to Employment for Moroccan Young Women” funded by Boeing aims at training underserved young women in Casablanca to facilitate their integration into the world of work.
We carried on with the “Training For the Future” project funded by Accenture
Training for the Future (TFF) is a 3-year project funded by Accenture as part of its “Skills to Succeed” initiative aimed at providing youth with the skills they need to find and sustain employment. The project aims to provide 1,000 youth and women with gainful employment.
We extended our impact to high school students and teachers with MCA-Morocco
We started a new project in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Among its objectives is opening up high school students’ minds to the world of work, providing them with career guidance, technology studies, and offering them extracurricular activities aligned with their career choices.
