She is affectionately known to some of her colleagues as “Dr. Prophet “ .

She is multi-accomplished Professional who cites Prince George’s County as one her favorite residential places. She is an ordained Theologian, Writer and published Author, Certified Life Coach , Speaker, Educator, Business Entrepreneur, Humanitarian, Social Activist and Multi-Award Winning Youth Advocate. She is best known for starting the 1St Prince George’s County YOUTHFEST, Million Youth Empowerment Rally (2005), the theme “ Everybody In Da House Getting Busy” was a statewide plea to all people of influential status to help bridge the gap by “giving” their time, and resources to aid mainly at-risk youths and underserved communities When she was interviewed by “Award-wining “ Jet’s Magazine Bureau Chief, Simeon Booker along with other local news media her event garnered national attention. Due to the success of the event, Dr. Naves became a role model for other organizations and churches to host various community outreach events.

As a result , she was named and honored as a“Woman In History” by the Office of the Prince George’s County Executive. Shortly thereafter, she received the “ Changing Communities Award” from the late Founder of the Washington Wizards, Abe Pollin, a Letter of Recognition from President George W. Bush. Shortly thereafter she was presented with more honors from Educators, Business, Religious and Political Leader, including being awarded three Congressional proclamations, naming Auguust 15-27, Youth Empowerment Week in Prince George’s County.

In 2010, Dr. Anita Naves found herself in the media spotlight again, when her unusual “grocery store” story hit the front page of the Washington Post. When a Reporter received a call from a shopper that someone was praying for people inside of the major grocery store, he followed the tip and hurried to see if was true! When he arrived, he saw Dr. Naves , and her lone Saxophone player conducting a prayer service. He asked he could interview her, and the rest is history. His interview landed her on the front page of the Washington Post, and soon she found herself being pursued for interviews by news reporters far as Africa, London and Switzerland. Furthermore to her surprise, she was told History Recording Research group that “ no one has ever prayed inside of a Grocery Store..period….declaring her an International History Maker.

It was another “trendsetting” event that had people lined up outside of the store waiting for her arrival to receive prayers for unemployment, foreclosure, and family issues.

Her combined passions as an Educator, Youth Advocate, Social Activist, and Ordain Theologian has empowered her to “creatively, but effectively” embrace broad audiences of people, on both religious and social platforms. You can find Dr. Anita Naves, “teaching in public schools, conducting “free” community outreach workshops, Speaking at school assemblies, graduations churches, and community forums, raising awareness to social issues such as “hunger, homelessness of teens and young adults, bullying, and women empowerment”. Her extravagant fundraising projects are known for aiding schools with special projects, like the one she is most proud of… raising money with the aid of kids, in order to purchase a prosthetic eye, for another student who had lost one of his eyes in a childhood accident!

As a celebrated ordain Theologian , Dr. Naves earned her Doctoral degree in Religion and Socio-Cultural Anthropology at New Life School of Ministry and Bible Institute, under the Leadership of Bishop Joseph Thomas. She is the Founder of SPEAC FOR HIM FAITH NATION,

a ministry school dedicated to teaching ministry Leaders on the gift of prophecy.

Dr. Naves has often been called upon by the Prince George’s County Council to offer prayers. As a Writer and Author , she continues to further educate, empower and entertain as a Freelance Writer for the Prince George’s Sentinel newspaper or by writings screen plays and theme songs for youth events, as well as producing and hosting her own Radio Show YOUTHTALK (2008-2010). She has written and published several books “ Power Principles for Peaceful Living “(2006) and Pass the Salt”. (2009). Upon the release of Pass the Salt, she was invited for a book signing at Howard University. These other books are forthcoming.. “Prophetic Power…from the pulpit to the pews”, “Bubblegum, Cell phones, Jeans, and Tennis shoes…How to Minister to 21st century youths”, “ The Waiting Room” and “The Relationship Therapy Interview”. These books are forthcoming.

As CEO of the Dr. Anita G. Naves FAM-ED Foundation she is dedicated to uplift and empower impoverished families with resources and to honor “well deserved ” Educators.

At last count, Dr. Anita G. Naves has been honored with more than 130 awards, honors and letters of recognition as a result of her “ enduring humanitarian service” in the fields of Education, Religion, Youth and Social Advocacy, by partnering with more than 500 organizations, and written more than 100 youth empowerment curriculums, including songs.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and , friends, shopping, visiting art galleries, meditating on the beauty of creation, and trying different kinds foods. Dr. Naves humbly states “ When life is your passion, it is never work, but a ministerial playground to cultivate your God given talents in the form of Service.”
