The Greek watermill is a water-powered mill for grinding grain. It was particularly suitable for hilly and mountainous regions of Greece and Asia Minor since it was capable of functioning with small quantities of water that were moved, but in a great speed.
The watermill is a mill that uses moving water as its power source it is a structure that uses a water wheel turbine to drive a mechanical process such as milling, grinding, rolling or hammering.Water mills use the flow of water to turn a large waterwheel. A shaft connected to the wheel axle is then used to transmit the power from the water through a system of gears and cogs to work machinery, such as a millstone to grind corn.
The first watermill was invented in 3rd century B.C. Hellenistic engineers invented the first watermill.
The water mill isn't really around today. The water mill is only in specific places in the world.
Water mills benefit to today because without the beginning idea of the water mill and the upgrades that happened we wouldn't have watermill a that is generated by electricity.
