Spring is in the air…

Welcome back to a new term. We’ve started our new term by introducing some new areas of learning. First off, in maths we have started to learn about multiplication and division. We have been practicing some practical methods and pictorial methods.

In computing we have begun to talk about keeping safe online and have started to think about how we could share this knowledge with other children.

We have been finishing off our some of our topics from last half term too; we are still working out where the best places are for Sunny the meerkat to live and in science we are almost finished learning about animals and humans.

We also had some wonderfully creative moments this week- we continued our art work and made some beautiful prints using our personalised handcrafted templates. And in music we were making our own compositions on the xylophones.

We also celebrated Pancake day this week with some delicious pancakes. We got to choose our own topping and we really enjoyed eating them.

It was also World book day this week were we had to play The masked reader and guess which teacher was reading us a story with a disguised face and voice- it was really fun. We also visited out library and chose some new books to share at home.

Finally we ended our week with a trip to The Northern Stage to see Zog and the flying doctors. It was absolutely amazing and we all loved the theatre experience and joining in with the show.

Well done Alyara for being star of the week.
