Morocco

Morocco’s the kind of place you visit once—and immediately know you’ll be back. Morocco is sure to exceed your expectations.

This hotel so synonymous with Marrakech, that its myths and legends are intrinsic to the city's glamorous bohemian history. The grand dame of Morocco is as fabulous and seductive as ever. Every inch of this palatial-like property has been hyper-considered to make the guest feel as though they have arrived in some regal estate of an Arabian kingdom.

Visit the Jardin Majorelle

This Yves Saint Laurent Museum is a tribute to the city’s most famous expat. The spirit of the late French designer lives on in this museum and cultural centre that dazzles like his creations. Designed by Studio K.O. to evoke the weave of a rich fabric, it houses a chronological, permanent exhibition of his best-known pieces, particularly anything that was influenced by the traditional dress of Marrakchis. From kaftans to smoking jackets and sequin-encrusted boleros, it is as bold, beautiful and fabulous as the man himself.

Medina

Plan to spend a good portion of your time in or around the medina, Marrakech's fortified old city. Your private guide will lead you to marvel at ancient, elaborately decorated sights like the Saadian Tombs, the Badi Palace and Koutoubia Mosque before testing your haggling skills in Jemaa El Fna.

Ballooning over Marrakech

Nowhere has a view quite as spectacular as the basket of a hot air balloon flying over Marrakech as the early-morning sun breaks over the horizon. Drifting high above the ruddy plains, tiny Berber villages scattered like Lego bricks below, silvery streams slicing through the earth towards oases of palms, it’s easy to understand why Winston Churchill once described the Red City as the most beautiful place on earth.
