Ford Focus Transmission Mount Ford Focus Transmission Mount STEPS: Tools: 2013 - 2018 Ford Focus ST 2016 - 2018 Ford Focus RS 1. Remove the battery cover and disconnect the battery’s positive terminal. 2. Pull the intake temp sensor from the intake and remove the intake air box from the vehicle. Also remove the accordion hose that connects the air box to the intake tube. Note: Stock hose clamps are 8mm 3. With the intake partially removed there is now room to pull out the battery. Remove the tie down (10mm). 4. Pull up the front most part of the battery box with all the and fold it towards the nose of the vehicle allowing you to remove the battery. 5. Then remove the negative terminal from the battery. 6. Loosen the three bolts in the bottom of the battery box. 					Note: if you still have a sound symposer, unplug it and disconnect the tubes connecting it. 7. With the battery box free, pull it from the car and disconnect tabs holding the wiring harness to the battery box support. 8. Remove the 4, 15mm nuts holding the support tray to the motor mount. Remove the battery support from the car exposing the mount itself. 9. Jack the vehicle up to allow enough space to remove the splash guard with a T30 torx bit. You will also need to support the transmission with a block of wood on a floor jack. This is required in order to remove the motor mount safely. 10. Raise the jack until it meets the transmission and the engine starts to move so that the jack fully bears its weight. Caution: The vehicle components may be hot to the touch if you recently drove the car. It is recommended to allow components to cool off before attempting this installation. - 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 15mm, 18mm sockets and ratchet - T30 Torx, - 15mm wrench - 3/4 wrench - floor jack and small block of wood
