Ford Focus Passenger Side Mount Ford Focus Passenger Side Mount STEPS: Tools: 2013 - 2018 Ford Focus ST 2016 - 2018 Ford Focus RS Caution: The vehicle components may be hot to the touch if you recently drove the car. It is recommended to allow components to cool off before attempting this installation. 1. Remove engine cover 2. Remove the coolant tank by depressing the side tap and rocking the tank back and forth while pulling upward. Then place it out of the way leaving all hoses connected. 3. Remove the bottom splash guard with a T30 torx bit. You will also need to support the engine with a block of wood on a floor jack to bear the weight during the swap. 4. After the engine is supported, loosen the three nuts securing the OEM mount to the engine. Note: Should the studs come loose at any point they can be refastened with an external torx or a 12 point box wrench that fits tightly on the stud head. 5. Now unbolt the two bolts fastening the mount to the chassis of the car and pull the OEM mount out. 6. Drop in the new AWR mount starting by lining up the three studs on the engine first. 7. Getting the mount to line up with all the holes can take time and it is recommended to raise or lower the floor jack in order to help everything sit correctly before threading in the OEM hardware. 8. Once everything is lined up, place the three supplied spacers onto the studs on top of the new mount. Then put the coolant support bracket on top of the stud closest to the nose of the car. 9. Then start threading the three nuts and two chassis bolts by hand. Torque down the three nuts to 60 ft/lbs while ensuring that the coolant tank support arm is pointing away from the engine. The arm might need to be adjusted to ensure proper support of the coolant tank. 10. Torque down the chassis bolts to 67 ft/lbs. 11. Then tighten up the main bushing bolt on the new mount making sure washers are sandwiched between the hardware and the mount itself. The thru-bolt should be torqued to 55 ft/lbs. 12. Lower the floor jack and replace the splash guard. 13. Reinstall the coolant tank and check to verify that it is held up by the support arm. - 18mm socket and ratchet - 19mm socket and ratchet - T30 Torx - 15mm wrench - 3/4 wrench Bushings will start to settle after about 500 miles driven.
