FAITH HEBREWS 11:1-40

Faith according to Hebrews chapter 11:1 is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith is not a concept that you visit when the unforeseen happens but it is a lifestyle for every Christian. Faith is also not how you feel because we can’t relate faith with our emotion. Emotions change depending on our everyday situation but as Christian we are supposed to hold unto our faith no matter the circumstances. Faith also goes with believing and hoping in God for a change in your life

FAITH AS A SUBSTANCE.

This means that the amount of your faith is not tied to how much faith you have but how much substance you posses. That is; a little faith in a significant substance produces great result but a lot of faith in an insignificant substance will produce no result.

IS FAITH THE CENTRAL PART OF EVERY CHRISTIAN?

As a believer in the Lord our faith holds a central part in our daily. As the Bible makes us understand that we walk by faith, not by sight. This means we are acting like God is telling us the truth in that moment even when we see the opposite. Hebrews 11:6 says; without faith it is impossible to please God. God expect us to please Him no matter the situation in our life.

FAITH IN GOD AND THE WILL OF GOD

Hebrews 11:13-16, Mark 11:24: We must understand that our faith in God will yield results only when it is in line with the will of God. We can pray for a healing or breakthrough but if God knows it will not honor His name, that prayer will not be answered. It doesn’t mean God is weaker but He wants the best for us. It could also be that it isn't the right time so we have to wait.

CONCLUSION

Hebrews 10:35-39. Do not cast away your confidence which has great reward. For you have need of endurance so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. The just shall live by faith but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Amen
