About the campaign
By 2050, more than two-thirds of the world’s population will live in urban areas – but these cities are not currently equipped for wellbeing. From education to healthcare, to employment, our city systems are currently failing young people, damaging their health and wellbeing, and leaving them at risk of being left behind. To mark the 11th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF11), Fondation Botnar is excited to launch the #MyCityMyVoice campaign for young people to share their big ideas and ask pressing questions about wellbeing in their cities.
Young people are critical to building healthier, prosperous and more sustainable cities. At Fondation Botnar, we believe that when given the tools, young people will play a crucial role in shaping our collective future, tackling new challenges, and harnessing opportunities. During WUF11, we are inviting you – whether you are joining in person at the conference, or following the event virtually – to have the opportunity to have your voice heard and dialogue with global experts and political leaders in urbanisation and city planning.
