Week 1 Welcome back!

We have had a lovely and settled first week back in year 4! We have already started lots of new learning that we can’t wait to share with you.

Our First Day On Monday, the children met their new teachers and completed different activities. They created birthday cards that we are going to use throughout the year for everyone in class. They also created jigsaw pieces that will be displayed on our classroom door, and completed an ‘All About Me’ worksheet.
Music On Tuesday, we had our first Music lesson of the year. The children are learning about the rock and roll genre. They listened to some different rock and roll songs and tried to work out what instruments they could hear. To end the lesson, they learned the hand jive dance!
P.E On Tuesdays and Fridays, we have P.E. This week, we started to learn how to play dodgeball. The children had to race against each other to try and grab the ball first.
P.S.H.E All week, we have been looking at a range of different topics in P.S.H.E, all linked to families and relationships. The children were able to decide if different scenarios showed rude or polite behaviour, and gave great ideas on how to show kindness to others!
A Letter from the King! In year 3, the children wrote a letter to the King about their concerns for the environment. When we came back to school, we found out the King had read the letter and had a letter sent to us in return!

Thank you for reading our class blog!
