Dear organization leaders, I am writing to request your esteemed organization's support for our international research project on work addiction and work-related health and functioning. Our team, together with colleagues from over 60 countries worldwide, is conducting the most comprehensive global study on work addiction to date. We have received several thousand responses and are now expanding our research efforts to the United States.
As a researcher responsible for data collection in the U.S., I would greatly appreciate your organization's collaboration with us on this critical project. Our study aims to shed light on the impact of work addiction on individuals and organizations and promote awareness of the importance of work-life balance. If your organization is interested in supporting our research, please review the information below, and let me know how we can proceed:
Benefits that We Can Offer to Organizations in Exchange for Their Assistance:
1. Individualized Feedback: Upon completing the survey, each participant will receive comprehensive feedback on their work-related psychosocial functioning. This feedback includes potential risks of work addiction, depression, and burnout, as well as individual and organizational factors contributing to their well-being at work. This information can help individuals recognize their strengths and weaknesses, enhance job performance, and improve their overall well-being. Furthermore, a dedicated webpage will offer a detailed interpretation of results and recommend self-help and professional solutions.
2. Study Findings: In addition to the individual-level feedback, we can also provide a summary of the preliminary findings in the United States to your representatives.
3. Media Release: Furthermore, we can offer an article or a brief media release about our project, which includes not only the study but also a newly developed website on work addiction. The website is currently being translated into over 40 languages. Here is an example of a media release in New Zealand: Are you job-obsessed? New Zealand joins global look at work addiction, “Stuff”, New Zealand
