Situated just off the Woodhead pass is this beautiful area at Crowden. We walked for over 3 hours and saw virtually nobody else. The weather was fabulous, far better than we could have hoped for and it certainly showed off this landscape at its best.

Has you can see from the above photo all the clouds dispersed and it stayed like this for the rest of the walk.

The tree above is an ideal spot to stop and rest awhile. There is a small grassy area that is ideal for sitting on, laying out a picnic blanket and resting while having a bite to eat and drink.

Once the sun started to set a lovely orange glow filled the sky, it was a lovely end to the day.
