In February we visited Groton, CT to meet USS Colorado homecoming from their extended deployment

Rist Canyon Drive - With warmer weather on the way, on April 9th we took a drive through some scenic roads to Rist Canyon and the Horsetooth Reservoir

Anniversary Dinner at Flagstaff House
The USS Colorado Submarine Association was happy to host a visit by the Commanding Officer, his wife and four other crew members to Colorado for the first visit since 2019.
I'm always intrigued by the sights and buildings along the way of our drive.
Over 1,000 cars and about 3,000 people were in attendance at the Kahalari Resort in the Poconos for this year's Porsche Parade.

Day 1 - Fort Collins to Palisade via Snowy River Range, Wyoming
Day 2 - Palisade to Durango with Stop at Gateway Auto Museum
The next day we took the narrow gage Durango to Silverton Railroad to the town of Silverton. After a short visit we took a bus back enjoying the fabulous mountain scenery.

We travelled to Southern Georgia to attend a submarine reunion and the annual WWII Submarine Memorial Ceremony held at the King's Bay Submarine Base

On Sunday we drove to Saint Augustine for a short visit
By the time we got to Fernandina Beach it was after dark
